Labor was not too bad (praise the high heaven for epidurals). I was 2 days overdue, so frustrating...my mom had to tell me that I was in labor cuz I didn't notice that I was. I celebrated Jordyn's due date at work with the doc and my manager and then the next day 'celebrated' by cleaning my house and cooking dinner for my family. Not long after they left, my contractions started being about 5 mins apart consistently. I was too stubborn to leave, but Mark insisted on it, so I followed. He made me sit on a walmart sack in case my water broke on our 100 mile drive (please laugh if you know mark). We got to UVRMC at 1030 and I was dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. My mom didn't think they would turn me down being that far...surprise they did. They sent us home at midnight. Luckily Marks brother lives 20 miles away. But we got there and went back to the hospital at 4 am...grudgingly...we actually sat in the car for an hour cuz we didn't want to be sent home again. They ended up keeping me, thank heavens...and little baby Jordyn was born at 302 pm, without a doctor at my feet! We enjoyed, mostly I enjoyed seeing all of my friends who came to visit us at the hospital, even though I looked frumpy.
Life has been great since then. Jordyn has been a great baby, sleeping in the night well since we got home. There has been a few nights that we have got 6 hours of continuous sleep :) At her 2 week check up she was in the 25th percentile for height and weight...we are hoping she starts growing like a weed soon (kinda). She also weighed 6 lbs 7 oz :D She loves to be snuggled and likes bath time until she is man handled. Mark likes her alot, he is such a great dad! She is officially a month old...and I can't believe how time flies. She is adorable, and yes she still has all of her hair! On the 19th we were doing our daily tummy time...and she rolled over...twice! It is so fun to watch her grow.
Jordyn is also spoiled and has got 2 new cousins the past month...although they are boys she can't wait to meet them. They are both bigger than she is...one born 3 weeks after and the other born one month! We can't wait to meet them both!
As for me...work starts in 2 weeks and I have started back doing a little bit of clinical. I can't wait to be done with clinicals :) Hope you enjoy the pics and have some happy holidays!!!
The first week home!
Jordyn and I like to snuggle and she likes to sleep on her side...

If you ask her questions, she raises her hand...lol
